For Keri Gaither, Girls and Women in Sports Day serves as a validation of her long, rewarding career in the UDM athletic department. While attending UDM part-time, Gaither worked for the athletic department in a wide variety of roles. Although she never held a coaching position, she began to climb the administrative ladder and after 12 years was appointed director of facilities and events. (1) comment

Fencing team wins at Northwestern The UDM men's and women's fencing team competed in the Northwestern University Duals in Evanston, Ill, over the weekend, with the women leaving with a pair of victories, while the men only managed to come away with one.
