Why is Girls and Women in Sports Day important to you?
"It's important for the kids to see that they can play a sport at different levels. It's important for our school also, that they get to see all of the different sports that we offer."

Are women's sports equal to men's sports at UDM?
"I would say that it's pretty equal, except for the student section at the games. The support that we receive is not equal compared to the support the men get."

Heather Hatter

Why did you choose to play collegiate sports?
"I've played basketball my whole life and I couldn't imagine not playing it. I have a real passion for the game."

Why is Girls and Women in Sports Day important to you?
"I think it gives the younger kids a chance to look up to us. They see us as role models and think that if we can do it, they can too. We all had role models growing up and for them to be able to come and see us play will give them a lot of hope and inspiration."

Brigid Mulroy

Why did you choose to play collegiate sports?
"I love to play basketball and here I?was given the opportunity to walk on and be a part of the team."

Are women's sports equal to men's sports at UDM?
"I think, especially this year, large steps have been taken to improve both basketball programs equally, but I?think the boys get a little more press than we do."
