In the first game, the Titans jumped to an early 8-0 lead over the winless Bulldogs and never looked back on their way to a 17-3 victory.
Freshman Rachel Iturralde scored Detroit's first goal only 59 seconds into the game. Freshmen Emily Boissonneault, Corina Mahorn and Anna Eidem continued the scoring for the Titans, who outshot the Bulldogs 19-8 in the first half.
Senior Liz Hardy, previously a four-year starter for the women's soccer team, also scored in the first as Detroit went into the break with an 11-3 advantage.
Eidem, who ended the day tying a career-best in goals with six, described Detroit's first-half dominance as a team effort.
"We used each other and moved the ball around," she said. "When everyone contributes, we are able to make a lot of great plays."
The second half saw the Titans remain in command, shutting out Fresno State 6-0. Boissonneault scored two of her four goals in the final period.
Less than 24 hours later, Detroit faced the Presbyterian Blue Hose and put together a strong offensive showing, recording a season-high in points en route to a 21-15 victory.
The Titans got off to a fast start, scoring two goals within the first minute, and went up 3-0 before Eidem injured her ankle and had to leave the field.
The Blue Hose capitalized on Detroit's shortened lineup and tied the game 3-3.
Eidem returned with the game tied, and immediately scored to put Detroit up 4-3. Playing the rest of the game with a brace on her ankle, Eidem ended the day with a career-best seven goals and four assists.
"She pushed through (the injury)," said head coach Mary Ann Meltzer. "She's one of our key players and when she steps up and plays strong, we seem to be on the winning side."
Detroit began the second half with a 14-8 advantage, which quickly grew as Boissonneault scored two goals within the first minute. She ended the day with eight goals.
Despite leading the Titans with 38 goals on the season and being the team's number-one offensive weapon, Boissonneault believes getting her teammates involved in the offense is integral to victory.
"It's very important for everyone to get on that scoring sheet," she said. "To see different people get down [to the opposing goal] is great, especially when the defense is able to get down there and make some offensive plays."
With only three games remaining in the inaugural season, Meltzer wants to see the team improve on the defensive end of the field.
"We need to focus on our defense," she said. "We are [giving up] too many shots, so we need to be a little more patient with our checks."
The Titans will go on the road to face the Longwood Lancers on Saturday, April 4.
